Gameday!
Here we go, it is gameday, September 28, 2014: Eagles versus Niners at the new Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, Ca.!
Before I left to pick up Mom, I decided to make iced green tea to take along with us.
I was at Mom's place around 10am and she came bouncing out to the car in her Eagles gear. She was also armed with our tickets on her iPhone with the Levi Stadium app.
Bonus: Mom had an extra Eagles shirt for me!!
The plan was for Marissa to drop us off and pick us up so we didn't have to do the parking lots. We went to pick her up at Santa Clara University at 10:35am. I drove us towards the stadium and made an exit to on Great America Parkway from 101.... whoa!
Lots of activity, cars, people, CHP, other workers. There appeared to be many different parking lot options. (I think I saw the pricing from $20-$40).
It was exciting to see this organized chaos. I saw several shaded canopies for all the different tailgate parties.

By 11am, we made it to our drop off point which was Carl's JR off Tasman and a 10 minute walk to the stadium.

| This was Marissa's snapchat to her friends, she said we were COOL to be going to the game and the new stadium! |
We started our walk on Tasman to the stadium. We saw lots of RED but a good number of green tho!
We go thru security and the ticket guy and were on our way...
... on our way to find the shops!!
There was a line to get into the main team store but it only took about 7-8 minutes. We got our clear inaugural bags and other souvenirs and made our trek to our seats to UPPER CONCOURSE.
Mom decided she wanted the game book I bought so she ran into another shop that did have the book. I waited out front to take in the view of the field.
Also, throughout the day we were in a group text with my brothers, Miguel, Maria, Amy, and mom.
Apparently, Baby Gabriel was getting ready to reveal his game pick of the day:
Ok, back to that trek....
WAIT, but first, ice cream stop! I got mint chip thinking it'd be good Ju-Ju for the Eagles.... 25 minutes to kickoff!
Found our seats, whoops, not our seats!!
Got booted out of our spot not once, but twice! Ooops! These season pass holders are fiesty, huh?
Ok, we got situated in our spots!
I was sitting directly behind mom and here was mom's seat mate:
Half time show! Skydivers!
The first and fourth quarter were the most interesting. Eagles ended up losing! There were plenty of Eagles fans which was fun to see.
The day was HOT. The iced green tea I had brought did not suffice! Bottled waters were $5.75 so definitely bring iced cold bottled waters (in clear bags). Hand wipes would help since I dripped ice cream all over me. The team beads and the team jerseys we saw looked fun.
The herd of people after the game was a sea of red..... as best we could, we walked back to Carls JR where Marissa was waiting for us. Many folks opted for CalTrain (LINES). The parking lots had lines as well. The walk to Carl's Jr was a line. From that point, people jumped onto light rail.
It was a fun day even though Eagles lost. I am glad Baby G covered his 9ers bet though and the Cowboys won, too.
